Welcome to North Tipperary Community and Voluntary Association
North Tipperary Community and Voluntary Association (CAVA) was
established in March 2001 to represent the Community and Voluntary
sector in the new local Government structures in North Tipperary.
Volunteering has a long history in Ireland, spanning a whole range of
social activity. It represents a huge resource to society and provides
a much needed service. C.A.V.A will work to ensure that this resource
of knowledge and concern, represented by you, your club, your
association and your neighbourhood, will have a voice where needed in
the future of our county.
CAVA's mission statement is to facilitate people to empower themselves
through collective participation in the community and voluntary
development. As stated in our Objectives, CAVA will actively support
and encourage community and voluntary groups to reach their potential,
by developing networks, and providing information and training.
CAVA acts as a representative voice for the Community and Voluntary
groups in North Tipperary in various bodies and committees such as
North Tipperary Development Board, Strategic Policy Committees,
Tipperary Leader, and other relevant decision making structures.
Membership is open to everyone involved in local community and voluntary group activity.
